Alright, I know that Mathmos' site vaguely explains that a Heritage Astro bottle won't work right on a regular Astro base. However, I remember reading somewhere that you could actually put a Heritage bottle on the regular base by either using a dimmer or 30w bulb, as to prevent the overheating that would occur if you ran the Heritage bottle on the regular base with the regular 40w bulb. Is this true, and has anyone tried this? I really love that light blue/clear bottle, and I would love to…

Is this true, and has anyone tried this? I really love that light blue/clear bottle, and I would love to replace my cloudy orange/pink bottle (which colour wise I'm also not too fond of) with one of those. Just don't want to spend €40 on a bottle that won't run right.
Heritage Lava Lites (Century)tag:oozinggoo.ning.com,2015-06-23:1566398:Topic:5870422015-06-23T14:32:10.795ZMattMJB0188https://oozinggoo.ning.com/profile/MattMJB0188

Hi Everybody!!! It's been a long time since I have been on this site. My passion for lava is not dead though lol. Lately, I have been eyeing 52oz lava lites, in particular, blue/white color combos. I see Lava Lite has a heritage collection with 52oz Centurys. They even have the pin holes in the base like the originals. The only difference I see is they don't have the black stand that sits on the bottom of the base.

I am curious how these lamps flow. I remember a few years ago there were rumors about Lava Lite brining production back to the U.S. Are any of their current lamps made here? Sorry for my ignorance if this issue has been discussed.

But anyway, I would love to see some actual pictures of the new Century lava lites and how they flow. If I like what I see, it would be the first time I purchase a lava lamp from Lava Lite in over 10 years. I am hoping they flow nicely. Thanks guys.

Hey every one, as I think I have mentioned before, I bought 2 heritage grandes and they wouldn't flow after the second or third run. I contacted Lava Lite, and they sent two more lamps (very nice of them), but these also had flow issues. Anyway, I am almost 100% sure adding a second coil would get these going. Anybody know of a good source of coils, I know there have been discussions about replacement coils before, but I though maybe there is a better source available now. I tried the…

I tried the plated steel springs from Lowes, and they began rusting in my aristocrat. I was thinking maybe 5 below lamps? What do you guys think?
