Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Found oozinggoo.com when I was looking for ways to repair the Grande I picked up at CostCo a few years ago.  It's one of the Chinese made ones that has gone extremely cloudy and ceased to flow (going to try replacing the fluid one of these weekends).

It was here that I found out about really big Lava lamps.  I was bowled over by videos of the  Colossus lamps and really want to see if I could get one, I couldn't find them available anywhere so I wrote LavaLite.  I wanted to let this group know what I got this from Lava Lite today:

We have a special promo on the Colossus for serious buyers.   This will be the last time the Colossus will be seen.

Please see attached promo sheet with pricing included.

If you are interested please contact on my direct line at 630-496-6663.

Best regards,

Sadly these prices are outside of my discretionary funds, even though they include shipping.  I post it in hopes that someone here may be interested.

VERY interesting!  Wonder if they would take off a few $$$ if I waived shipping.

Hmm… pricy (I always knew it was), but I might consider it. I had just assumed these were no longer made or available.

The real question is, what color would I get? Does anyone have any pictures of these in action?

Go to:

(you can go to the "Pics & Vids" tab and type in a search, that is how I got the link above)

i'd find a way for $500, but $700 is just out of my range.  regardless, it's cool to know that they still have some stock.  thanks for posting, charlie!

I can confirm after hearing from Susan that this is indeed legit.  Yippee!!!  You da man Charlie!

So incredibly tempted, I could probably even afford it without too much pain.  I just don't know which color to pick, I will have to look at my lights closely at home to see.  Plus, I don't own a blue/yellow, so I don't know if I would like that combo.

Interesting but isn't the bulb still a issue with these? how does one find a 250 spot light? lol Jim let me know what they say. Tax return is coming soon lol

I am wondering if these are to be shipped from china of if they are the first things off of the restored US production line.

No international shipping :-(

I am wondering that myself.  I also wonder what happens if these show up cloudy/broken, it would be expensive to ship them back.

In the process of ordering one now...

very exciting, dave.  enjoy it!  i'm half tempted to sell some of my "smaller" lamps to fund this.
