If my photo is utilized in the selling of a lamp on eBay, shouldn't I get a percentage of the proceeds? I guess with this being a public site that our pics are fair game? :-)
I'm being a good boy and not posting a link to the auction. Its a sorta nice lamp.

LOL - Chicago --> Seattle --> Texas --> Chicago. I may have to ask $600 on the lamp. ;-)

LOL , I was just searching ebay and stumbled on to your Colossus, which is now in Seattle, and for sale! I came here to OG to post this, and I see you have already spotted it too!
Jim, I am going to buy it now, but insist that you deliver it to TX!

Unless all photos on this site are implicitly licensed for free commercial use (which I very much doubt), this is absolutely not fair game. Besides, this seller is effectively lying to anyone bidding on the lamp. I would notify eBay immediately. (Sorry if that seems a bit harsh, but I have absolutely no tolerance for dishonest eBay sellers.)

I do find this whole thing to be quite funny and do see the bright side in it. It is indeed a very fine pic and for those unfamiliar with a Colossus, that pic should make you gasp a bit. Majestic would be one word that comes to mind; hell, I might even say imposing. Not one to toot my own horn, but "toot toot"! I did do quite a job of capturing a Colossus in all its glory.
I do wonder how many folks will inquire abut the Cosmos.
You know, when someone doesn't post a picture of the actual item on ebay I get really leery. My first question would be if it even flows or how well it flows. And if you're gonna sell something for $600, take the time to take a picture. If you don't have a camera buy one for $50 at walmart. If you don't want to buy a camera get a 12 year old niece, nephew, or neighbor to take a picture for you, they can even show you how to post it!
I agree, I messaged the guy asking if he had actual pictures of the lamp. He replied saying he doesnt and that the lamp is in storage and too heavy for him/her to get out and take pictures, then followed by asking if Im in seattle and that i could come by to check it out whenever... But who has 8 hours to stick around and see if it flows???

They probably know that very well too! Good on whomever asked about the "stolen" pics, etc. I have a feeling it was a fellow goo head by the way they phrased that question. ;-)
