I purchased my fourth Excalibur a few weeks ago off of Craigslist. I've had it boxed up because I have been building a table to display some of my lamps and thought I would pull it out when my table was finished. Today I opened it up and realized it's different from the other three Excalibur lamps (I'm the original owner of). This one has the short neck. My other three have the long neck. I'm wondering how to remove the cap? It almost looks like a metal cork? The liquid is crystal clear but the colors are blue and green which I just kinda find boring. So I want to redo it with a goo kit.
My other three excalibur's are pretty cloudy though and I would like to redo those at some point. Anyone know how to remove those caps as well? I've read they are "heat shrunk" but what is the best way to remove them without damaging them?
I appreciate everyones time and information!
Hope you all are having a great day!

I have redone a few Excalibers in my day

Just be careful not to destroy the cap when taking it off
I used a box cutter to carefully pry the seal open, then a small flat blade screwdriver to open and stretch the aluminum cap it further until it came off
You reseal then identical to a grande (See some of my past posts)
