Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Thanks to a family member for this one.. I received a phone call about a lamp on Craigslist. I looked up the ad and I was stunned. The title was "Galaxy Table Lamp". I would have NEVER found it as I search for fiber optic. Anyways, it was a never used, still in the box Fantasia Galaxy lamp. Looks like a saucer and has the spherical heat spray. The base is chrome. The lamp is amazing. Pristine new condition. All for $19 bux! I was stoked.

Ok.. here is the photo shoot - enjoy.

Nice find Kris
Thanks guys :) I love these things.
Gorgeous!
That's a fab picture, these things are hard to photo normally
My goal is to get all of them setup, lit and take a HUGE picture of all of them. It will be an eyegasm!!
Updated - see original post.
This is now only the 2nd lamp I've seen with the static spray and this patterned color wheel - the other being the Love Bug. I adore the effect this gives in the dark; I see this effect as projecting the wheel's pattern onto the spherical array of fiber tips. Makes a great night light as the patterns spin and swirl across the sphere.
What's interesting Jonas is the color wheel is glass and not thin plastic like most of the Vicon made lamps.
Added video to the original post. Enjoy.
That would be cool to have overlapping color wheels. From what I have seen so far, I don't think Fantasia ever did that. Single color wheels so far. There are a lot of things that come to mind that would make a great lamp.

Yes, the reflection of the light off the chrome is something I really like. Gives it depth and looks really nice.
Ahhh Cool! I used to have a fiber optic lamp in a flower arrangement black light box. It made a very groovy night light!
