Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

After extensive testing,  I'm now offering many NEW glitter colors in clear fast liquid.  They are gorgeous!  Here are a few of the options.  I'll post them all below in this discussion and in my videos.

I've also developed replacement slow glitter formulas for the Florence Art, Heat Tapes, Mastercrafters, and Crestworth glitter lamps of the 60s and 70s.  The liquid in these formulas is non-flammable, non-combustible, and much less toxic than the fast, solvent-based liquid.

To simplify things, both fast and slow glitter liquid are now available at the same prices.  Here are some FAQs on the glitter liquid.

I fill all orders on a first come, first served basis.  I do all of the work by hand and take care to ensure quality.  Please allow 2-3 weeks from payment for delivery.

Each globe take about 1L of liquid and run on a standard 40w reflector bulb.

Hear is a picture of the first one I got and I thought it could be goo-kited - that may be the case but I think the plastic wouldn't hold up to a warmer bulb needed to run it as a lava.

An Italian.  It should be run on a 25w bulb with glitter.  I've refurbed several of these, and the medium size (.125") square holo glitter looks great in clear fast liquid.

Thanks in that case I will get the right bulbs for it and PM you soon to sort out the glitter for two of them, ive got another one that the base needs refurbishing and rewiring etc.

Mr Olson,

I have a few years old Lava Lite standard lava lamp (standard wax in solution) that I would like to replace the liquid with your glitter solution.

The lamp measures 16.3 inches base to tip and the liquid container measures exactly 11 inches. I cannot find an indicator of the volume of the liquid. The bulb is 40W and sticker indicates maximum bulb size is 40w.

I found your lava lamp glitter solution sales page on oozinggoo.com. I would like to purchase glitter solution from you to replace the old liquid. Which volume should I be looking at on your site? I'm assuming the 32oz but wanted to make sure before I placed an order with you.

Thank you for your time,

Ryan Miller

Hi, Ryan.

The 16.3” size is a 52oz globe.  The 32oz globe is 17”.

Here’s a specifications document that lists all the sizes.

I'm very interested in filling a few smaller lamps I have! will be emailing you shortly

June, as Claude says, I'm still testing, making, and selling glitter liquid.

It's still just a hobby for me, and I'm crazy busy on my full time job, so it may be a little longer than usual before I respond.  I have several orders that are currently being filled, so it will be a couple of weeks before I can get back to you.  Thanks for your interest.

Since the topic has come up in another discussion this could use a bump.

Here is the link to the specific plug:

Sure can.  The one I'm using comes from a company called MOCAP.  Here is a link to the one I'm using in the glittered Grandes.  You'll need to cut the flange a bit to fit the top of the Grande.

I'm using XW2.12/2.29YW1.
