<p>Upon second look, the only difference I see is the bulb on the Century is 60W 120V and the bulb on the original problem base was 60W 130V. Looked it up online and the 130V actually runs cooler. Could be that too.</p>

<p>I'll run it with the 120V on the original base tomorrow and see what happens. If it doesn't work then it maybe be the space differential. </p>
