Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

THANKS, OOZING GOO FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND INTEREST OVER THE YEARS!

Mandatory post update is MANDATORY.

In addition to the modded lamps that I have been selling, I will soon be offering slow glitter in LOOSE form (not contained in one of my lamps)! A lot of you have been asking for a long time now. The glitter contained in that liquid can be ANY shape you choose, and many colors, including prismatic!

But for right now, you can design your perfect lamp in lava or glitter, at the following rates:

$40 per regular glitter

$45 for replacement color glitter

$50 for lava

$55 for Custom cut glitter in any shape

Post here or in a PM (you'll need to send me a friend invite first) with your color choices. Please also state whether you want a lava lamp or a glitter lamp. I also now offer replacement glitter in 14 colors! There is an additional charge of $5 per lamp for that, but the custom color combinations are almost limitless.

ALSO...I am finally taking orders for custom cut glitter! I can also do cut glitter in virtually ANY SHAPE, so let me know if you want something special! Higher rates apply if you need me to render your design from scratch, but not by much.

- I will make a mockup of the lamp that you requested if you would like, so that you can see it. Then, we'll both be sure we're on the same page, as far as what you want.

- This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but orders requiring anodizing will have to be skipped temporarily. I hope to be able to mod several lamps in a day, so don't despair too much if you are down pretty far on the list!

- I have a set list of paint colors, but if you really want a color that is not listed, just tell me what color you want, whether you want matte, gloss, satin, metallic, satin, or fleckstone paint...I'll see if I can find it. I know that matte and metallic colors are harder to find in variety though, so be aware of that. I can also seal your glossy lamp with a matte sealer, if you like.

- Once you have made your final decisions, you can send payments to my paypal address. I will then begin work immediately on your order,

Please note - I STILL am not currently equipped to handle anodizing...only unpainted silver bases, and painted ones until then. If you want metallic blue, red, grey, gold, silver, bronze, amber, or black, and do not want to wait, I have metallic paint in those colors. Just state your desires in your post. :)

This order is a statement that you intend to buy, but I'm not a nazi. I understand that life sometimes throws curve balls at us all. Only, if you have to cancel, please do it as soon as you can, to decrease the chances that I've made your order already!

Awesome, Lib! Thanks! :D

AND YAY!! I FINALLY scored a bench capper!

After getting outbid over and over and over again (like...4 times), I finally won a bench capper on ebay! Wooot!

It should arrive on Friday!

If anybody still is needing an order, THANK YOU for your patience!

Man...what a relief! I thought I was NEVER going to get a bottle capper that wasn't hideously expensive and looked like it was buried shortly after the Civil War!

So ok! There were several people who had work for me. If anybody is ready, send me a PM!

YAY, LOREN!!!!   So happy you finally got your bench capper!!!    Did they have them back during the Civil War??  LOL

If you need pics of my amber/orange base and orange globe you made me, just holler if the one in my pics on my page don't show the colors well.   ;-)

Thanks, Libby!

And just a reminder, I am now ready to work!

I just ordered some more colored glitter, including gold, violet and a different blue this time, and that should be arriving soon!

If you are ready, please IM me. :)

That's great news, Loren!!    Do you need me to post a picture of my amber base/cap and orange glitter bottle?   If so, just tell me, and I'll take one tomorrow where the color can be seen.  Hubby is asleep and I have the lights out so as not to disturb him.  I'm the "night owl."  LOL

Lib, I love to see my creations in their new homes...so it would be valuable to me, just on that basis! Any other use would just be icing! And I understand...I am the night owl too, or usually...I have to be both awake late at night to talk to suppliers in China and India, and awake during the day for my dad. I started my own business so that I could have a more flexible schedule for my dad's sake, but I didn't realize at the time just how much US production has been outsourced overseas. :(

I'll post up my other two glitters and one lava soon, Loren.   Right now, I thought you might have an order pending on the orange, and they would want to see the Amber Metallic base/cap.   Hope it turned out good!!    Your schedule is much worse than mine, and by necessity too.   I stay up because I just can't go to sleep early, but you have to.  I know that's hard on you taking care of your Daddy, but our Daddies took care of us, eh?   You love him and want to do it!   Good on you!!

Your pic is posted for the Amber Metallic base/cap with Orange Glitter Globe now!!   ;-))   Lovely one too!!!

Thank you again! You rock. :)

Oh! I have new glitters! All have been tested, and seem to be colorfast and solvent-resistant. :)

Top row from left to right:

Red, orange, yellow (gold), lime green, emerald green, teal, blue

Bottom row from left to right:

Indigo, purple, violet, pink, bronze, silver, and black.

I added some emerald green, gold, blue, and indigo to my rainbow glitter, and now it has 12 colors!

Anybody want to try some of the new colors?

Ye're welcome! Think naethin, Loren!   Happy to help you out with the pic.   I love the new glitters, and Aye, I do want another lamp with the new solvent-resistant glitter.  I just have to decide on the colors.

Oh...about that, I think all of the colors I used in your lamp were solvent resistant, but I do not think I should have used the iridescent yellow glitter because other people have told me that it wasn't flowing right. :(

I have since discontinued all of the iridescent colors...not that I was ever actively flogging them (I mean that in the Brit sense. :p), but I have 16 iridescent colors that I can't use now. :( long story.

Anyway, if I have made a rainbow glitter lamp for anyone here, I will not only cap your globe with a bottle capper for free, I'll add the new colors to your mix at no additional charge. I can't pay to ship all of these globes, but this is at least a small way for me to make things better for you guys.

I'm only sorry that I couldn't add all of the colors and cap these to begin with!

What???  Sorry, Loren, you lost me on that one.   Are you talking about what "was" my Rainbow lamp where the clear liquid went murky yellow and the glitter stalled?

I refilled it with the clear liquid/lime green glitter you sent me, and it's now perfect.   I'm not sure what your comment, "Oh....about that" meant.  I have four of your lamps, 3 glitters and one lava, so which are you talking about?

Yes, I was talking about that lamp.

I don't think that was the glitter, I think that was bad glitter liquid. I'm still not sure what exactly happened with that, but so far nobody but you and Dr What have had those flow issues, other people just said that the yellow didn't mix right.

None of my 3 glitters have clear liquid anymore, all are colored liquid, blue, green, and orange, and all with silver glitter. All great!!!

I'd like to have a clear liquid/Rainbow glitter now.   Can you make one of those again?   If not, I'll pick another color.

I'm really fond of that dark blue metallic base/cap you did for Kyle's "Portal" lamp, but I have a dark gray metallic base/cap already.   Would those two base colors be too close to looking alike do you think, if I go with the dark blue metallic base/cap?

Oh, and the cap vs. the cork sounds great!!   ;-))
