THANKS, OOZING GOO FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND INTEREST OVER THE YEARS!
Mandatory post update is MANDATORY.
In addition to the modded lamps that I have been selling, I will soon be offering slow glitter in LOOSE form (not contained in one of my lamps)! A lot of you have been asking for a long time now. The glitter contained in that liquid can be ANY shape you choose, and many colors, including prismatic!
But for right now, you can design your perfect lamp in lava or glitter, at the following rates:
$40 per regular glitter
$45 for replacement color glitter
$50 for lava
$55 for Custom cut glitter in any shape
Post here or in a PM (you'll need to send me a friend invite first) with your color choices. Please also state whether you want a lava lamp or a glitter lamp. I also now offer replacement glitter in 14 colors! There is an additional charge of $5 per lamp for that, but the custom color combinations are almost limitless.
ALSO...I am finally taking orders for custom cut glitter! I can also do cut glitter in virtually ANY SHAPE, so let me know if you want something special! Higher rates apply if you need me to render your design from scratch, but not by much.
- I will make a mockup of the lamp that you requested if you would like, so that you can see it. Then, we'll both be sure we're on the same page, as far as what you want.
- This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but orders requiring anodizing will have to be skipped temporarily. I hope to be able to mod several lamps in a day, so don't despair too much if you are down pretty far on the list!
- I have a set list of paint colors, but if you really want a color that is not listed, just tell me what color you want, whether you want matte, gloss, satin, metallic, satin, or fleckstone paint...I'll see if I can find it. I know that matte and metallic colors are harder to find in variety though, so be aware of that. I can also seal your glossy lamp with a matte sealer, if you like.
- Once you have made your final decisions, you can send payments to my paypal address. I will then begin work immediately on your order,
Please note - I STILL am not currently equipped to handle anodizing...only unpainted silver bases, and painted ones until then. If you want metallic blue, red, grey, gold, silver, bronze, amber, or black, and do not want to wait, I have metallic paint in those colors. Just state your desires in your post. :)
This order is a statement that you intend to buy, but I'm not a nazi. I understand that life sometimes throws curve balls at us all. Only, if you have to cancel, please do it as soon as you can, to decrease the chances that I've made your order already!
Well here are the color choices, once again!

That's actually the orange, but the picture is a detail of a picture of the whole lamp. It's taken from the top of the globe where the liquid is darker though, so that's why it looks kinda amber-y.
It's a great shade of orange. Love it.
Did you finish Carlos' lamp? Just wondering if we get to see a picture of it lit and working. I'd like to see how the wax flows.
Are you still taking orders?
However, I am NOT getting any email alerts when people post here, and I have no idea why.
Anyway...I'm looking into that. In the meantime, yes. I'm taking orders. :)
What would you like?
I'm only taking orders for painted bases still though, until I can anodize. I have ONE PART left, and I think I'll have to make it myself...a resistance coil.
And to answer GT's question, Yep! I sent his off a while back, and he reports liking it a lot. :D I think he posted pictures of it running pretty soon after he got it.
Yes, I did come across a picture of it. It looks great. I'm thinking of ordering one after I receive the orange/orange metallic glitter. Picture this....a blue fleck stone base and cap with sky blue lava. Still considering what liquid color, might just leave it clear. Or might change the lava color to a darker shade of blue and have sky blue liquid! Lots of possibilities!
Thanks! And that definitely sounds beautiful. If I can find fleckstone paint in blue, then I'll get some if you like the orange lamp.
Hi Loren! When you get around to making my lamp, i think instead of the clear liquid i would like it pink along with the purple base and the silver glitter. Thanks. Paint is ok!!!
Sorry jack! I don't know why I don't get every response alert in my email...
But yes, I can do that for you. :)
I have a spray paint that will work in purple, or you can get it anodized purple in a couple of weeks when I get that up and running, hopefully.
Just let me know! In the meantime, here's a preview for you:
I would like to order a White matte Base, Yellow Lava, Clear Liquid lamp.
After much debate, I'd like a black base, purple liquid, yellow lava.
Also, do you know if there is a charcoal grey paint for bases instead of black?
@ Jack - Ok! If you don't mind it being painted, then I can get started on that as soon as I'm done with this ebay order. :)
@ Drew - And you're next in line! I'll try to find some matte white paint tomorrow.
@ BrigetT - Sounds good! And yes, I have metallic black, gloss black, matte black, and metallic grey. Do you want the metallic grey instead?
Yes, lets try the metallic grey. Thanks!
@Jack - I had to do your base AND globe over. :( The red dye I'm using oranges out...I knew that, but it turns out the pink oranges out, also. I got some better dye, and did your globe over. It looks much better now. Hooray. The purple paint is another thing. The BLUE version worked just fine, but the purple gets all powdery and lavender when it dries! I'm about to try it again with a primer applied beforehand, OR this... I found a metallic purple spray paint that has a blue sheen to it. It's called "interference purple", and it looks really awesome. Let me know whether you want me to try the new paint on your lamp! Otherwise I'll just prime it and try the purple again.
@Drew - I found matte white paint today. :) While I'm waiting to hear back from Jack, I can go ahead and try to get your lamp going tonight. It will remind me of an egg.
@Bridget - Got it! I'll look forward to making this. :)
