I am going with $7500 USD.
Person whose prediction is closest to the winning bid will get an enthusiastic "atta boy" or "atta girl" from me... that is all.
What a fun thread Jim.
I Reckon $4600 USD
I'll take a clear/purple 50oz Lava Lite globe prize if I win lol.
I'll say $3875.
I'm thinking closer to $5K US. Don't forget shipping costs too, if it goes abroad count on another $1000 U.S. minimum for shipping. Personally I think it is worth this kind of money, the shape appears to be excellent and it is a rare and historic lamp. In my opinion these are the most desirable early lamp in existence.
Oh shoot, shipping. My final price does not include shipping.
We'll see! I hope whomever gets it shares it here. :)
Im saying $4800.00 dollars
I say $3557.57
I predict it will sell for more than I can afford to pay for it!
3,000 pounds or $ 4,981.80 USD
Or Seattle. Haven't seen him in ages, but I'm not ruling out Mr. Chow.
You know a year ago I would have said $4000 or so but things are kind hard to predict right now. I have seen some pretty rare lamps go lower than I imagined and have seen other lamps that are not so rare go quite high. I bet there may well be a snipe bid out there on this lamp that is $10000 plus and the determining price will be the next highest bidder. Erin, you and I both know someone who has deep pockets who always does last second bids that are often outrageously high. This thing is probably headed to California.
