Youtube videos

Quick question, I finally decided to use my seldom used youtube account to upload photos as I feel it's easier and the quality is better compared to photobucket.

The question is: do I have to leave my videos public in order to embed them here or can I leave them private. For now, the one I just uploaded is public.
