if you don't mind :-)
Thanks for the advice. If only Santa was watching. That will have to wait til after the holidays.
I would for sure put dimmers on... all the time, money and effort you put into them would be a shame to see them not flow or bubble infestation due to overheating
Ooooh, I like those inline dimmers. If I ever do that, I'm doing a full write-up.
:)
The china bases are cheap as hell. but hey they work right? I think since they switched the metal used for the bases to something much thinner it acts as more of a heat conductor then anything else. Just a good example of the epic failure LL has turned into but we all make due ;). Dimmers can be found at any hardware store. Usually known as table lamp dimmers. Unless you want to go the inline dimmer way (like icons have) which requires you replacement the whole socket (if you don't want to cut the wire) and wiring. This is only for china bases, the older bases you can just remove the wiring and keep the socket since the wire is attached via screws where as the china bases are riveted on. There also Lampheads way where you make a power strip dimmer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Op-zhDmW60Y&feature=player_embed...
