It was made from an old christmas gift, a 50s gas pump that dispensed liquor. The ideal bulb to use is a ge 60 watt halogen mini flood. It it will be a pain to change. Locktite epoxy is how I fasened the glass to the base. The cap is a made from the top of the gas pump and a plastic cap from a blank cd spindle. Yes it is goo kit goo, proper heat and epsom salt make all the difference. The only thing I do not like about goo kit goo is that it is tooo transparent.

Full specs.
Materials list:
base is a steel ice bucket 15.00
Glass vase 30'' by 5'' 17.00
Coil 16.00
2 pints of goo 50.00
8oz of surfactant
Epsom salt added as needed
2 gallons of distilled water 2.00
Orange dye 5.00
Satin black spray paint 4.50
***150 watt flood bulb**** 10.00
Bulb fitting and wire. 17.00
Locktite epoxy 6.00

The base it turns out was key. Its better to a high wattage bulb with a dimmer then be under powered with nowhere to go. Have the bulb as close to the glass as possible. Big coils are best. The goo is mixed with a little yellow goo from a lavalite. So getting a stock lavalamp is optiontional. This was not easy by any means. Went through at least 12 gallons of water, and allmost became a shotgun target. But after a month on st. pattys day it was golden. Any more questions just ask. Have fun, its worth it.
