Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Here's a Saturna I bought on eBay in July 2012. The cap says 1977 but I can't read a month. It is quite clear and has good flow. Not quite as pretty as my other red/clear but still very nice to look at. It looks like the lamp posed for a shot with the blob at the bottom making a heart shape just in time for Valentine's Day!!

Very nice! Reminds me of a space ship, or genie lamp. Great find! :)

If the Saturna is any indication, you are achieving your goal of finding some really beautiful lamps.

I really appreciate the Blue Magic tip.  I'll pick some up.

Thanks Kirk.  I am on a quest for the most beautiful lamps I can find.  I take my time in picking them.  I don't want to wind up with a lava farm around here.  LOL!  Happy hunting my friend.  Just so you will know, there is a metal cleaner out there called 'Blue Magic'.  That stuff works on the bases to remove all the deposits from the years and it won't hurt the finish at all.  Give it a try on either the gold toned or silver toned bases, but stay away from any silk screened logos on the base.  Deep pile cotton cloth work great for applying the polish and for removing it when finished.

Pristine.  Remarkable.  Thanks for posting.
