50th Anniversary Lamp - faded to GOLD after only ten days.

This is a 50th Anniversary lamp that when purchased turned GOLD only after ten days. It appears in photo more orange but's it's a really sharp looking Amber/Gold color when lit at night. I was given a replacement globe for the lamp that also turned gold. COINCIDENCE? LavaLite was celebrating 50 years and GOLD is the mineral that represents 50th Anniversary Any thoughts or did anyone else experience the same fade? I took these pictures when I first purchased the lamps.

If I ever find one of these, I hope it'll do this, too. That became a generic color to me, since nearly all the knock-offs came in yellow/purple (and yellow/blue)

Comment by The Lamp Caretaker on March 1, 2022 at 11:24am: The lamp you see above is an original 50th Anniversary Lamp - it was originally purple liquid with yellow wax. Not long after I purchased about ten days in the lamp began to lose it's purple color. The second photo of the lamp on at night is the color you got once the purple faded. I'm not sure if LavaLite intended this to happen because even after I was sent replacement globe it still lost it's purple color and I never leave in the sun or where sun can affect the color. All three of my 50th Anniversary lamps did this. I actually really like the gold color at night but wish the original colors would not have faded. I wonder if this was intentional since the mineral for the 50th Anniversary is GOLD. I took these pictures when I first purchased the lamps several years ago and just recently found them again. Did anyone else experience this same phenomenon.
