Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello, this was my first lava lamp which I love very dearly! It's in need of repair as it got overheated and now it's all cloudy and unpleasant to look at. If anyone on the list is able or does repairs I would be willing to pay whatever is necessary to fix the problem. I was also wondering if it's possible to just buy another lamb and switch the canisters (where the wax bubbles), I was thinking it would lOok nice to have yellow wax opposed to red because that would give the illusion of gasoline given that the base is a retro gas pump.

Anyone with any ideas or anyone available to take on such a task please don't hesitate to contact mE and we can discuss shipping and payment.

Everyone have a great day!

Hi Michael,

I know you posted this almost 13 yrs ago now, but I'm reaching out on the off chance you're still on the site.  I have the exact same lava lamp (it was my first as well - I've had it since college, so over 24 years ago).  Recently it had become cloudy, so I replaced the fluid.  I replaced the lava as well because I wanted a brighter red, but your lamp might not need it.  And now it's crystal clear and working beautifully.  It's actually clearer than it ever was new.  If you're still interested, I'd be willing to repair yours.  -Karen
