Another globe, another one with wax stuck around bottom

This one is a year old or so. Got it from Spencer's. It's the Northern Lights Lava Lamp - 17 Inch Clear Liquid White Wax. I've run it about 30 times or so. I just noticed today that there's a section of wax stuck to the side of the globe about 3/4" inch up from the bottom. Pretty much every lamp I've gotten from Lava Lite from the last five years has this problem and it's the main reason I don't buy their new stuff anymore. All four of my Neons had this problem, and really, every lamp from Spencer's. Does anyone have a new Lava Lite lamp from the last few years that doesn't have this problem?!

I have a clear/blue 52z I got a year or so ago from Spencer's and there is no wax stuck to the bottom at all. BUT the flow went to CRAP!!!
I do have a rainbow Grande (that I hate!) and there is a lot of wax stuck to the bottom!! I don't even run it anymore it just sits in the box.

Yeah, but if the replacement has the same problem (and it likely will)... I don't see the point. With as many as I've had that have this issue, I don't think getting one without this problem is a likely scenario.

Call Susan at lava lamp and tell her, about it, she will probably send you a replacement for free

It doesn't seem to affect flow, though the lava coming up from the bottom tends to come up one side more than the other.

I've got a teal and white one from Spencers a month or so ago that is stuck about half way around. It takes forever to start flowing. Does stuck wax at the bottom effect the flow?

I can't think of a lamp I've gotten (new) in the past four years that didn't have this problem. I suspect a lot of people don't check this sort of thing and/or aren't as OCD as I am. I wanted to buy some of the new stuff that came out from Spencer's/Lava Lite, but I am 100% sure they have not corrected this issue. And, once I see this issue on a globe it becomes DEAD TO ME.

Hmmm, I have two new lava lamps I got from Kmart on clearance. Both 52oz. One blue liquid yellow wax, the other purple liquid yellow wax. Neither have that problem. They both flow pretty good but my biggest problem is that the liquid on both is on the dark side. I am currenlty going to play with the yellow wax blue fluid, took out the blue fluid, and try and make a clear fluid yellow wax version.
