Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

This is after using one bulb extender. I guess I need another. It just doesn't do much.

See Autumn, this is why I couldn't let myself kit a grande!!!  lol!!!  I won't quit until I get one of my 52's flowin!!  I just did a 52 white/clear kit that was giving me flow issues..i know it's a coil issue because the stock lamp flowed with the same problems, but back to you.......keep up the good work, it will pay off when you get to sit back, watch and enjoy the flow!!!

By the way, I LOVE my cheetah lamp....it's included in a few of my vids, hee hee hee

So far, so good! I agree that the slight density increase of the water will do the trick. I don't think I'd be brave enough to take on such a huge lamp! I can't wait to see how it turns out

Autumn, how much goo did you need to use?

Autumn. That is what I would do....try a VERY slight increase in fluid density. But since their wax is only slightly heavier than pure water (when the batch is correct) only the very slightest increase is possible or the wax will just plain float. I think you are close to getting it.

Oh, and thanks so much for the goo it did arrive.

The lamp got so hot that the wax turned translucent. I'm starting to think the goo kit formula is off... again. This makes the 3rd batch from them that has had problems. At least this batch doesn't stick to globes. I need to make sure propylene glycol doesn't cloud the water up any. If it stays clear I am going to try to make the water denser.

In my experience, and from what I've heard, the never Magama goo needs more heat to flow.  None of my 52's will flow on a stock 40 watter.  I have to use a 60 watt garage door opener bulb with a dimmer to achieve flow.

The re-vamp is looking good! I hope you get the flow figured out, it looks hungry to flow!
