Thanks, Crestworth! The first time I ever called Lava-Simplex, circa 1990, they told me about Crestworth and said they had a Crestworth lamp "on testing" (their words) at the Chicago factory. They called it a "Rocket" and described this lamp, and did indeed mention red and blue colors.

The Crestworth Rocket, in my eyes one of the most beautiful lava lamps ever, only too bad that I probably will never own one of them nearly impossible to find them in Germany, very rare on ebay...

These are the two lamps I covet the most of your collection Grant.

As far as I know the original colours are as in these two Rockets and these are what I understand to be correct, yet the box tells a different story, but then Mathmos just made generic boxes with all combinations, I like the idea of Green Red and Green Yellow....

I've heard this model originally came in only these two colors. Is that correct?
