French Oval Glitter I got from Erin. I painted it with red enamel and goo kitted with orange lava and violet colored water.

I'm going to see if anyone makes a paint that replicates that wrinkle texture. The traditional method involved heating the metal, and keeping it extremely hot during and after painting, but there should be a paint that can create texture somehow...besides that (in my opinion ugly for everyday use) "stone" paint.
Jonas- I used Dupli-Color Engine Enamel Ceramic paint. This was given 7-8 coats with some additional small touch ups here and there. For the prepping of the metal, I didn't sand it, but I did give it a couple coats of Rustoleum metal primer.
Shut right up. That looks amazing! I'm so glad you did something with this. Better than it sitting in my basement! I love it!
Can you tell me what kind of paint you used, how you prepped/primed the metal, and how many coats/the process used? The result is WOW - and I have the same lamp, which I'd love to paint, either red or orange!
love it! great job :)
