I really love how this turned out! I think it's the same as vintage strand glitter, but I can't be sure without a side-by-side. I also, just as an experiment, put some color transparencies on the bottom of the globe. They look great, and after 6 hours running, the color is still lasting! Huge thanks to Jack for the reminder about that! Autumn, I can easily take this off before I ship this lamp, if you still want it, but I couldn't resist the opportunity to experiment with some vintage style glitter with a vintage style color overlay.

As dumb as it may seem form a business perspective, I don't believe in trade secrets. I freely share what I've learned. I think that encourages innovation and competition, and I'm used to the latter. :p

However, I have not been able to perfect the glitter liquid. I have not found the glitter solution. lol I know mostly what's in it, but I haven't been able to duplicate it.

For right now at least, I am at the mercy of what little glitter fluid I currently have.

Care to share how you make the fluid? Or is it a trade secret?

Hey Ben! Sorry I missed this.

I have only 1 kind of glitter fluid, but it is possible to tweak it to make it thicker or thinner. Generally speaking I don't ever do that though, because the glitter fluid that I use is formulated to work with this type and thickness of glitter. I have found that the size of the glitter doesn't matter so much, though! It affects the speed of flow, but not how well it flows. Only the thickness of the glitter affects that, and is in turn affected by the thickness of the fluid. But so far all of the glitters that I have obtained have worked, except for one. In order to get that one working I would have to change the fluid, but instead I just don't use it.

I know nothing about glitters but I do like them. Is it possible to make custom glitter fluid? What kind of glitter?

Thanks, Erin & lala!

I think this needs some more glitter, and I need to take the color off of the bottom of the globe.
