Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Really hard to capture the color on this. It's more orange in real life than in this picture. Lava is kinda bubbly, but oh well!

Every now and again you'll see them on eBay for like $70 shipped, but it's pretty rare. Congrats Paul! I can't wait to see your teal. :)

Im possibly going to do a teal one next. i just scored a pink/purple grande off ebay for a very good price.

Thanks all. I would like to do another one in teal or magenta, but with the cost of Grandes and Gookits combined, I'd be looking at over $130 to do another one...

1/60 sec, f/4.5, ISO 400. focal length 30mm, flash was on 4 out of 8 bars, shot in Manual mode with my Canon Rebel T3i. It was edited in Adobe Lightroom after that. Hope that helps!

Jim this is my only Grande and my only Gookit lamp left.

This inspires me to get after those two beat to hell Grandes sitting in our mudroom.  Outstanding!

I used an external flash pointed at the ceiling. ;)

I'm surprised to see you used a flash (as I usualy don't like the render of it).

The light is really well balanced (no hot spot or dull one either)
