Same here on the brick and mortar Spencer's location.  I just lucked out on the two Rainbows and the 52 oz. orange/black.   All three ordered online from Spencer's.  All gorgeous.   This Purple one was supposed to be 52 oz. too.........NOT.  You can still see the coil too.  The light shining out is not so annoying, the frosted part covers it, but not the coil.....

It's not always easy though.  The closest Target is an hour and a half away and I have never found the full size clearview there, just the smaller ones.  I had to be patient just to find all of the 52 oz neons at Spencers.

That's why I have refrained from ordering lamps.  I would rather do without than take the chance of THAT.

Even if it is just from shipping, Keith, it'll never clear up.   I got a beautiful silver streak today, that has been in transit for 4 days, two days longer than the above.  It is perfectly clear, and gorgeous.   It took me a month to clear up the last LL "old" globe I got, but now it's crystal.  These LL China globes won't clear.

Yuck.  Could be cloudy just from shipping, but in today's online ordering culture that's just not acceptable.  LL needs to fix their lamps so this DOES NOT happen!!

:-((  Thanks........I guess I was the "test case".......I won't be again till they bring production back to the US and I see the lamps first.  Mathmos or "old" US LL it is now, and some of the old ones are as bad as this one.  I just found that out the hard way.

Erin, if I'd have known you cancelled yours, I would have too.   This is a pure JOKE, and supposed to be the "new" line?   I hate to see what's next..........
