Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Purple/White made-in-China lamp from Lava Lite

I couldn't help myself. Looks pink when running. Right now lava is clear when flowing, but I've only ran it once. Globe is clear, but of course it has boring "China" flow. I plan on painting the base and attempting pinholes on this one. I believe this is one of two Spencer's exclusive colors (the other being yellow/pink). No mention of it anywhere on Lava Lite's site and it's not one of their "Designer" series lamps.

The lava in this one is definitely more opaque now, as expected. Little hazy, but not as easy to see on these colored-water lamps. Galaxy, I do agree you should be returning them if you're not happy. I will keep this one only 'cause it's clear, no wax sticking and the color combo is neat. I got this in exchange when I returned a very crappy orange/black. I look forward to seeing pics of the aqua "accent".

Got the purple / white, and it is pretty nice, round spherical China flow, lava still a little transparent though. The Pink lava / yellow liquid is actually a Red / yellow. Unless their lab studies (if any) designed it to lighten to pink. It is unlikely though - there was also lots of sticking to the sides of glass along bottom.

Got the new Aqua / clear "accent lamp" from Toys R Us for $12.99, and it's cute and all but overall not impressed. My FAVORITE part is the packaging design and lovely marketing scheme. It looks higher quality, they are trying, but again liquid is a bit hazy after a week running each day, and lava appears to be totally transparent and getting DARKER not lighter. Pics to follow soon....may be returning them if doesn't improve.

The goo is transparent now, but it's slowly turning more opaque as it runs. It won't stay transparent.
