Especially the fact that I might be able to dump some lamps and refill them with crystal clear liquid. However, I have not heard any info on that and his surfactant. Is it compatible with USA wax? Or is his "kit" specific to his stuff only?

Louie doesn't now and never has messed with Lava collector lamps and goo. He's an artist and has always done his own motion wax thing so he has no frame of reference between his goo and USA LL/LW made goo. The collectors who use Louie goo will be making those comparisons and can offer valueable feedback as to what goo densities are most prefered.

Louie's not much of a computer guy. We're working on getting a Louie presence.

The goo becomes opaque look at my later pics.

the goo likes lower wattage.

Comment by Kris on March 7, 2009 at 4:38pm: If you already have a Grande setup that needs fixing, yes - it is a bargain! However, if you have to aquire a Grande setup and a Goo kit, your looking at $120 anyways. That's assuming you pay $60 + tax for the Grande plus the $50 for the Goo kit.

Interested to hear about and see the other type of wax. The wax your using now, will it get darker or will it always be translucent? The main thread you started has lots of questions. I wish he would come in and answer some of them. Like the ratio for doing 32oz globe fluid replacements. Will that work with the USA wax already in there? Etc etc.

Louie uses different wax density goo for different applicaitons. I'll be testing the one more like what we are used to in a USA lamp soon and will post results and pics.

The colors are beyond description. Think vivid primary colors. Perfect for mixing up to make custom colors.

Louie Goo seems good, but it's kinda expensive. $50 bux for a quart with shipping. Do the colors get darker like regular wax?
