Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Some of my bottles, needless to say my collection has grown. I might have a bit of a problem :)

Well, that's good to hear. I don't want anyone to think I'm ignoring them. I have just been very busy.

Thanks for the info Cowmatian! No problem on the late reply, I have since sealed that puppy up and it runs good!

Hey, Vox! Sorry for the late reply. I have been really busy with school. Anyway, the diameter is 3 and5/8 inches, and the cylindrical glass portion is 11 1/4 inches, and the cap adds another 1 3/8 inch.

Hey Cowmation, my wife and I are in the midst of changing an old glitter lamp over to a custom clay H.R. Giger themed base and it holds a vessel very similar to that cylinder on your bottom shelf (white wax/clear fluid it looks like). Any chance you could send me some specs on that globe, perhaps the globe height/width and the level that the wax comes up? I would love to have an existing waxed globe for reference when I dump the glitter and fill it with goo, thanks in advance!

Exactly! It's as if I have a nearly unlimited selection. Some I like to keep original, like my millennium aristocrat base typically has its original blue/yellow bottle on it.

Wow, that's a great idea!!!  So you never tired of the same old base and globe, lol!!!!

I have a similar shelving setup for bases, and I mix and match to have about 10 running lamps at a time.

I have to say my white/pink 52 oz china isn't bad either.......I got that one to replace my 52 oz neon purple that turned to muck and had all types of streaking on the inside of the globe.  Couldn't find a decent one after pulling 3 from the tubes, so went with my pink/white......

Nice collection Cow!!  What do you do as far as bases?  Swap out the ones when you get tired of them?

That pink white is a China lamp, unfortunately. The flow and color is still pretty nice though. In my opinion, it was the nicest one at Spencer's.

Nice gathering of bottles there Cow!  Yep Jonas the white/pink has to be just about the best bottle L.L. ever did in my opinion.  I love that combo and the flow is stellar!
