Comment by Erin on June 22, 2013 at 9:07pm: The sticking is hard to notice when the lamp is running - it's way down at the bottom, by the coil. And sometimes, it just sticks a a little, like a half inch up from the bottom of the globe. Most people probably don't even notice it.

Comment by Ben on June 22, 2013 at 9:01pm: I'll check the box when I get back to work for any indication on the age. I can say the box was dusty like it had been shoved to the back and forgotten. This one & a blue/yellow are the new lavas at work. Brought home the blue/white & green neon.

Comment by Ben on June 22, 2013 at 9:00pm: I just got this one on the 19th with the coupon posted here. I got 4 new 52oz lamps for $60. (19.99 + $10 off on 2 transactions). I didn't even know they had any orange black right now. This one was all the way to the back of the shelf behind a bunch of neons. I don't hesitate to open then up in the store and they were all clear. No sticking yet! Honestly I've never had a sticking problem with the new lamps. I've had a neon green and yellow for a while now and they're fine. Just got the purple & watermelon in the above purchase and I haven't plugged them in yet. The green has always run better with a 60w on a dimmer. I think it's because my office is so cold. Maybe running them hotter prevents sticking??? No clue.

Comment by Marley's Ghost on June 22, 2013 at 8:45pm: We don't have one. That's why I have to order from the online store. They are very good to replace foggy lamps, but they sent me another one that was even foggier. It was the thought that counted, I guess. Now I have one to practice on!

Rainbow lamps were "perfect, " but the 20 oz.neon watermelons were pure milk. This one looks great, but Erin's problems with two of them sort of scares me off too. If I order online, I might get the foggy "leftovers" others have returned.
