Same here got my first one as a youngster by saving up for it. It is a Capri, and yep still have it.

I got hooked young too when I was about 7yrs old.

A department store Christmas window display full of Astro Lamps in Oxford street London in the early to mid 60s and I gazed in awe.

I even remember when the Spencers near me had the Giants for sale, and I was completely mesmerized but they were 399.99.. If I remember correctly, I might be off by a hundred, but I wanted one sooooooo badly, but I knew that I would never have that much money cause I was only like 7 haha. That was the only time I saw them, too. They had like 4 on display, all different colors, and all were in full flow.

Haha 19. 20 in March. :) I have been hooked on lava ever since I was 7 and a half. I noticed Spencers at the mall one day, and that was when they had all of their amazing USA lava lamps, and when that was one of their main focuses, and I fell in love and asked for lava lamps for my birthday. I got a couple for my 8th bday, and ever since then... :)  Now I have 45 in my collection so far, but Ill be honest, alot of them are crap china ones. I hope to someday pass the goo craze to one of my kids, and have them become obsessed as well lol

It's a great lamp, Ian.  Probably the best that Lava Lite has made in almost 20 years!  Enjoy it!

I have had it flowing... Oh my goodness. I am completely stunned lol its amazing! I have another Grande, that I have had for 6 years but it is very cloudy and you can sort of see the lava, but hardly at all. This one is perfect! It is unbelievably clear, and has amazing flow. I think its the V2? It only has one coil, and takes about 6 and a half hours to get fully heated up and flowing. It alternated from a column to blobs and back and forth. Flows just like my 2 centuries. This was such an amazing present... :)
