Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

**EDIT: I have no idea why the photo is displaying this way...

Just got it today and I'm not impressed, but I'll review more once I have it running. It looks better off than it does on. When it's lit up, you can see the not-so-great spray job on the globe. There are some imperfections/smudges near the bottom of the globe and I'd say about 50% of the globe is red/pink. The green, yellow and blue sections are very narrow.

More later, but I have to say, I'm disappointed.

Song by Corey Hart. Recorded in 1983 and released in early 1984. Agree with you on lamp frustration too but so far I am still liking this Rainbow Grande.

Ok, now I have to ask???  Who actually sang milehigh's lyrics to the tune of that oh so popular 80's song, "I wear my sunglasses at night"???  Gotta admit, I DID, I DID!!!  Hey milehigh you're need to turn up the flow and write some more good lyrics man!!!!

But in keeping with the thread......we all kind of know it's a crap shoot when it comes to buying LL lamps....I started making my own for this reason.....and I will keep tinkering and changing the water in my kits over and over because this way I can get the flow I want...yep, I have the occasional wax sticking, I have now made a tool with a kitchen Dobie and coat hanger to wipe the inside of my globes, change the fluid and it's crystal clear again, just because I simply CANNOT stand cloudy, hazy liquid and poor juggler flow........but we do keep trying, hoping for that ONE lamp that may surprise us....hell, if I can find a decent black lava/orange liquid for Halloween in a 52 oz'er i'm snagging it!!!  LL or no LL......lol!!!

I do still like the Rainbow Grande but I see what you mean about the colors Erin. The flow on my 50th Grande is AWESOME! I will post some pics of it soon I have been breaking it in this week and the flow keeps getting better! Thanks for posting that video!

It's good to see the humor in things!

I wear my sunglasses at night.....

so I can, so I can....

View my LL lamp in a better light....

They are deceiving me....

With their lamps of low quality....

They got control of me....

As I continue to buy their crap....

Not going to be fooled by LL no more, oh no....

Well Erin, you could always put it across the room and wear your sunglasses at night!!  (sorry, I have to find humor in LL's not so integral manufacturing process)....or else I get very angry...

Up close it looks pretty crummy (I think). From afar, it's passable, but the globe spray job makes it look like the liquid is hazy and the colors seem not as saturated as I'd like.

Oh wow. Not meant for close up viewing is it? Still from a reasonable distance it must be pretty interesting. I wonder what Jim's experience has been so far with his.
