Ok, not really, but it's really neat. The glitter is rose-colored foil and it's super neat! I got this from France today. Can't wait to re-wire. Heavy, thick base that should shine up really nicely.

now this would look sweet if it were painted black.
Well thanks!
This needs to be featured ;)
I've had trouble locating the bulb adapters. And when you consider the cost of the plug adapter and bulb adapter, it's about the same cost to re-wire. I don't mind re-wiring at all - plus, I think it looks cleaner and then I don't have to always have that big plug adapter stuck to the end of the cord.
what a neat lamp! very pretty glitter and the base looks so well made.
Erin, you know you can get a plug adapter at Radio Shack for a few bucks, and a bulb base adapter online for about the same? Then you can keep the French wiring, and just put in an easily-available small candelabra-base bulb.
I'll post a video in the next week or so. I need to get it re-wired first. The cap is just a white plastic cap. Looks like a shampoo bottle with the top off.
I love that glitter is colored and clear fluid..I want to see it in motion ...
very much reminds me of mine..it to has flakes and base is quite similar...
what does cap look like under lid??
It's rare to find colored glitter flakes on vintage lamps with their color still intact. Usually the solvent eats away at the coloring on the flakes over time.
