Sorry to take so long to reply. Yeah, it's a red liquid with white wax! I LOVE it, as one of the other guys here mentioned, I love how it ,really, almost takes on a black cast in the liquid. Especially in the room I have it in that has rust-red walls. I'm kicking myself for losing out on a bid on another silver starship a couple weeks ago on e-bay, it had blue wax and green liquid. Just ordered the new Coach Lantern re-issue with the purple liquid and yellow lava. My gf has one with that color, and I love how it looks. One of my ,earliest, memories was of this Dr.'s office I went to as a kid in the early 70's that had actual lamps made of the original Coach Lanterns with the fill-caps! Blue lava, green liquid. Never seen anything like those since.

They're doing great! the red clear I got did flow a little sluggish but I thru in a xtra coil and it flows pretty good now. I've also just added a clear/white to collection. I don't think I'm going to go for the color liquid ones unless I can find one at a steal.
