"1 gallon of water is about 8 lbs..  Same with gasoline.  So if the collosus is 10 gallons its probably 8 true gallons of liquid due to the wax, weight of liquid and glass i wouldnt doubt it being 100lbs.  25 Litres is only 6 1/4…"

Outside of lava lamps, I also collect records and restore antique bicycles/phonographs.

My First Lava Lamp was:
A circa 1970 Consort. It did not flow well no matter what I did to it, so I ended up dumping out the contents and replacing it with the contents of a glitter lamp. I still have it today!
My Collection Includes this many Lava Lamps:
The aforementioned Consort, two Grandes (one regular and one color changing) and a Colossus
My Favorite Lava Lamp is:
The first production run of the Imperial model in the 1960s.
