My first Lava Lamp was a Blue/White Midnight that was given to me on the Freecycle Network. It was made in 1998 and little did I know that owning one lamp would lead to collecing more lamps.

Meditation Lamp Recreation

I have been curious about the Meditation Lamps pictured in the Lava World gallery below. This is the only picture I have seen and I do not know of anyone who has one. If you do, or know someone who does, please post pictures.

I filled a Consort Globe with white lava and clear fluid. I blew the ad up till it matched the actual size of the Consort Globe. This gave me an idea of how big to make the Cross and where to position it on the globe. I made the Cross in Photoshop and printed it on a… Continue

Hi Manix5 - Dave P. told me there was no fluid loss in this lamp when I was thinking of buying it. However, after I saw the photos (I know how much fluid there is supposed to be - and it is a lot more than what he has in his) I decided against buying it because even when it is running there is a gap between the top of the fluid and where the cap meets the bottle. If this is ok with you, then it's a good deal (other than the fact that the bottom is warped). Otherwise, buyer beware.
