"In my post, there is no propylene glycol in the lava lamp I made. I did not use it. I use glycerin if necessary anyway."

"Super quality post. The idea that surfactant reacting with the wax is what causes opacity is intriguing, I haven't heard that before.  So that makes me wonder what other surfactants other than SLS would do."

"Its warming up is similar to yours. Wax rises first. Then wax sits. Then the flow begins. This process changes according to the outdoor temperature."
