I have an old lava lamp with blue lava. When turned on the lava sits on the bottom in a ball. Can I fix this issue?

Something Interesting About Me:: My husband & I are Real Estate agents. His name is Rik, so we have gone by Rik & Vik during our 18 years in the business. It has been good for marketing. We have 4 grown kids and 6 granddaughters that live in Seattle. We like to scuba dive, golf & travel.

My First Lava Lamp was:: My mother was afraid that the goo in the lamp was dangerous so I never owned one as a kid. I got one for my daughter when she was 5. We kept it on as a night light for years. She is grown & married and insisted on taking her lamp. My new husband has one & we just found it packed away. We plugged it in but have a big blob that doesn't move. I am joing to learn how I can fix it.
