"Hi there.  I recently took part in the BOGOF Offer that Mathmos are doing on their red blue Aduki lamps. However one of them refused to charge.  I told them and they sent a replacement, which does charge. Which left me with a rather dead…"

"They are exactly the same size. I would try a 25w bulb, I think 15w would not give off enough heat. Check out amazon for socket dimmers, mine was only five pounds and works brilliantly with halogen and incandescent bulbs but wont work on led or cfl…"

Nee replied to Peter Panussi's discussion Those who are late will be punished by life itself... Metallic Astro gone :-(
"The base and bottle look to be original but the cap is not. The metallics were sold with an unmarked cap and wer available mid 2000s for only about 6 months. The cap is from 1995 to 98. They were available in four colours red purple and green. But…"

"Got mine this week and have tried it in my telstar. The liquid is a very pale blue with standard pink wax. Its quite nice, the blue makes the pink go purpley.  All I can say is its not strikingly different just a different colour combo. I think…"

"Am I am the only one noticing that Mathmos bottles are no longer flowing like they used to. They are just giving me blobs floating up and down :/ The Neo has very bad flow in my honest opinion."

Question.. Has anybody tried a Neo bottle in a Telstar or Astrobaby?

I am interested if anyone else has tried to use a Neo bottle in a Telstar?I have been using a dimmer on my telstar and my Neo yellow/orange works perfectly. When it seems to get a bit hot I just turn the dimmer down a bit. Also changing the bulb from a 30w to a 25w has some success but tends to overheat at about 4hrs.And what about vice versa? Do Telstar bottles work in a Neo? Has anybody tried? I know that glitters work very well and also older baby/telstar bottles too. But the newer ones are a…See More

Nee replied to Peter Panussi's discussion Has anyone experiences with Mathmos 3-in-1?
"Hi Peter, The Astro 3-in-1 Bottle is exactly the same mix as the other standard astro bottles but without any pigment added to either wax or master fluid. Smart astro bottles are a lighter wax mix with clear fluid and slightly coloured wax in…"

Nee replied to Peter Panussi's discussion Color Question / Mathmos Astro Baby
"Crestworth used to do a green orange which was beautiful.  Unfortuneately your ebay astrobaby is most likely and looks like a faded original blue green. It also looks like some of the wax has separated, so may also be problematic. "
