Looking for Glass Tubes - Similar to Magma Towers

HI All - anyone have any idea where I can find Large Glass Tubes like the ones Magma Tower Uses for thier Giant Motion Lamps? 

I actually contacted MT and all i can say is damn! they are Very Proud of thier Lamps.  their smallest is like $2800.  I asked them if they were willing to sell the glass tubes alone and their response was 'no', but they did offer to sell me goo which I thought funny because what good is goo if you have nothing to put it in?!

 

what kills me is I run a business myself and the objective of any business is to make money and I was willing to spend money with them but they declined, which is their perogotive, although I find it retarded.

It leads me to believe that they don't purchase "stock" glass tubes for their units and they are each individually made and maybe thats why their pricing is so expensive.  anybody on this forum have thoughts on this or know where I can buy glass tubes?

My guess is MT won't sell you one of their glass tubes because they want you to buy a complete Lamp, not the parts to build your own!

I've been looking into it myself, and it looks like our options are pretty limited when comes to finding big glass tubes. Here's a website that sells glass tubing up to about 4½" in diameter... otherwise it looks like you're stuck ordering a tube from China. Let me know if you do decide to go that route; I understand a lot of wholesale suppliers will price items at, say, $200 overhead per order plus $20 per piece. If that's the case, maybe we could get a few people together to split an order... or at least save on shipping?

Failing that, there's always eBay.....
