"I'm using epsom salts with mine and the water is perfectly clear and the lamp functions well. Now going on my 3rd year with this solution and I'm not seeing any coil or wax issues."

"My restored Century is doing very well with the original wax, distilled water, Epsom salts, and sodium lauryl sulfate.  I also added a bit of white vinegar to help with a water bubbling issue.  Curious about the potential of the Epsom salt…"

Any suggestions for getting rid of water bubbles? I restored this lovely old Century two years ago from scratch but in the past couple of months it’s been getting increasingly full of water bubbles in the lava. I've tried the "heat until melted, power off, settle, and swirl" technique, as well as the repeated "heat until melted, turn off, repeat", as well as just leaving it on for long periods of time. "And now after a more controlled re-melt and using a brush on the sides along with an addition drop of soap. Still getting some creeping up the side but overall not too bad, just not as nice as before."
