My First Lava Lamp was:: I had a few lamps as a kid and have regained interest in the last few years.

It is square, and the skull will fit perfectly from corner to corner. I will drill out the side for the cord and the socket will be glued to the bottom with Gorilla Glue. I will cut out the top with tinsnips, leaving enough of a lip for the skull to rest without shifting. After a coat of black heat resistant paint it should be good to go! I will give you a heads-up and some photos when I get it done!
