Hi. I know the post is REALLY old, but any chance you still have a 52 oz globe for sale? Thanks!

No kidding about being "normal..."  I always feel just a bit weird tho when I open the door tot he Fed Ex guy and he sees the huge alien torso coming out of the wall and the skulls hanging from the stair railing!!  Well, okay, not really.  I just thought I'd take a stab at normalcy!

Sounds awesome! You got lucky with that tin. It is hard to find the right size to fit these unusual bottles. I saw some plastic bushings @ Lowes today that would snap into the hole in your tin to protect your cord from the sharp edges. You probably already know about these. I am going to try them on some of my lamps. Watch out for the Gorilla Glue or you will be walking around with a Lava Skull in your hand for good. LOL. That is some of the strongest glue I have ever seen. Keep up the good work.

With an imagination like yours I'm sure you will pick a good color. Probably some new color combination. I will be watching for your skull. Any ideas for your base? The bottom of my Crystal Skull is square.

Waowww... I'm so jealous about your night Yellow/green. IT was a picture like this that drove me into lava lamps some years ago. I tried to copy that with Mathmos lamps without any luck at all!

Hey Bert! Just wondering if you ever tried to make your own wax? I'm still making some, it's kind of hit or miss, but what a challenge! Have a good day!

I checked out your ebay items and I've been stalking your glitter with the candle! Where in the world did you find it? It's so unusual!

Don't be nervous, this recipe is so easy. I do one cup of each ingredient. It never truly hardens in the container that you store it in so all you have to do is stir it and it will pour right into a globe. Color it and then heat it on the lamp for a while (I think this might help all the ingredients to merge) and then I like to put it in the fridge for a while, it helps harden up the wax so I can pour the water in. Then continue on as usual, like I said-it takes a lot of salt compared to regular wax. Feel free to ask questions, I try to keep up on here regularly, just comment on my page so I'll get an email warning. Good luck!

Now that's gorgeous wax, I love the flows on both of these. It's just hard to perfect it sometimes-soap is so iffy! I have tried a couple of time with glitter lamps, and I have given up-it takes a lot for me to give up on these lamps-I'm a pit bull until I get it right! I could not get anything to happen. I heard to use pure perk, but it is so toxic, when I mix up my goo and add the perk, I have to put a towel over my mouth and nose and pour outside! I even bought a glitter off ebay and tried to use it's liquid, but I guess I didn't get the correct glitter. I'm sticking to the goo until someone comes up with a better recipe for glitter! Do you make your own goo? Your light bulb picture is so amazing. Surely that is not a real light bulb?

The hot rocks was orginally neon yellow with blue water. I added lava world cream colored wax. It is actually my avatar pic. I loved the flow on it but it clouded and so I started over with the liquid, hoping to keep the same flow. Oh well. It's really hit or miss to get the little bubbles like I prefer.
