Mathmos Clear / Black or is it?????

Hi all just wondering if anyone on here who have there Clear/black bottles yet have actually noticed they are Blue? Mine arrived today and one bottle was in rather a poor way but they were all a very dark blue, once heated they are a very dark purple and nothing like black.

I called Mathmos about the issue only to be told I was correct and the wax is "dark navy blue" that was Mathmos's own words, is that not misrepresentation? calling something Black when in fact its not.

Not too pleased with my purchases, had it of said black effect it might have been a different matter.

I want black too Hmmmmm shame they hide that info on Facebook how about telling customers on your main website lol what a CON !!!

I don't know what all the fuss is about. If you run the lamp in light it looks jet black.

Mine looks nothing like black perhaps if it did I wouldn't be making this fuss !!! Had mathmos provided instructions stating this must only be used in a well lit room I might have tried that, but I prefer mellow lighting when chilling with my lamps.

Hmmm why doesn't that surprise me in the slightest lol I spoke with management at Mathmos today who basically said " So what if its not black " and " the website was being updated to inform customers that this is not Black/Clear " I'll believe it when I see it.

Not sure whats happening at Mathmos but the higher than thou attitude and shoddy or non existent quality control is becoming somewhat tedious.

14 replacement bottles arrived in my order the other day excluding the " Clear/Blacks " out of which 8 where usable others had large scratches up the bottles and bands of cloudy white stuff on the inside of the glass which illuminates beautifully when placed on a lit base Hmmmmmm Please sort it out Mathmos.

No doubt this post will probably be removed :-(

Yeah, maybe they should hav said that it looks a lot better in a well lit room.

I See Mathmos have updated the website to state Clear/Black-Plum Funny that !!
