I don't know - I emailed my UK contact but not had a reply yet. All her original email to me said was "Unfortunately, we are not getting the Grande Starship in as there has been a manufacturing issue with it." I'll let you know if I get an answer tomorrow. I wish they had bl**dy told me sooner, I have had enquiries about it and I I had some on back order too :(

I never use UPS or Fedex. It can be a bit of a lose/lose situation tho, cos no courier will insure items which are glass or contain liquid, which is why I lable the boxes 'fragile', but on the odd occasion I haven't done that, they complain an item only got broken cos there were no 'fragile' markings on it. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Deep breath* now I got that off my chest, I feel better ;) In truth, it's rare I have items damaged, mainly cos I am such a brilliant packer lol ;)

Yeah I guess I knew that really, it's just bl**dy annoying that couriers don't take more care. One courier company I spoke to at some length about this problem actually told me I'd be better off not sending them with their company!! It seems the more fargile tape you put on, the more determined the company is to play silly beggers with them. Apparently one of my customers watched as the courier arrived with the Grande she'd bought from me....as the driver dropped the box not once, but TWICE, in front of her!!! Words fail me!

Marcel, whereabouts are you on the planet? I have always refused to send these abroad because of the risk of damage on such a big item, and nobody will insure it as it is a)glass, and b)contains liquid. It's not the cloudiness I worry about, it's getting totally smashed on route - I lose a lot of money if I have to refund the buyer shipping and the cost of the item :( Even when someone says they will not hold me liable, I worry cos if it DID break, i would feel obliged to refund them or I will feel that I am a bad seller :(

Richard, my shop is unit 3 Greenholme Mills, Burley in Wharfedale, West Yorks LS29 7DB. I forget where you are, sorry! If you wanted to come get one, let me know when so I can make sure I'm there, in case you want to come outside my opening hours. I only live 2 mins away so that wouldn't be a problem.

I have had some probs with these actually - not myself, but caused when sent out to my customers - ones I have tested here and proven to be 100% clear, arrive with my customers and are foggy as h*ll - nearly fell out with Lava Brand over it! I think the couriers must play footy with them or something - yet, they came over from CHINA fine...can't work it out. I do love 'em tho. I got a bunch of black clear Grandes too, they were amazing :)
