Ah now i'm with you. Sorry to disapoint but it is just a normal astro. i must admit one of Tim Gills lamps (blue liquid, pink wax) looks similar to what i had, and i've been unable to find any info on what some one called 'magic wax'.

I do remember the wax being very pink at the base, and then looking very pale blue when it got high up.

Have you ever heaerd of this?

Hey I say you in our Wave group.  I have 2 very, very nice original Lava brad waves up for sale on Ebay right now.  7 days left and bidding starts at only a PENNY with no reserve!  Bid often these are going to be in EXTREME demand!  I see you are in the UK and I just happen to have a 220 power plug for the new orange one that I would include for you.

Thank you.  I've always liked Lava Lamps as a kid.  I just started a "collection"  based on finding them at the thrift shops.  I found a Windows XP lava lamp that is nifty.  It still had packing material in the lamp, but is missing the cap.  Is there a site to find caps?  I can't even find them on e-bay.  Other wise, I will become creative and make some home made ones.

Hey Alpha,

Thanks. This is a really nice website. Just starting out with a mathmos astro. It's really cool, slightly cloudy.

Hi Jerome

Thanks for the warm welcome.  Just had a look at your photos of your visit to the Mathmos factory.  This is definitely going to be at the top of my list of places to visit next time i'm down south.

Do they have a visitor centre there, or was your visit and look around the factory by special arrangement?
