I just saw one on Ebay.UK that went for 330.00 pounds . That would be around $650.00
dollars they take a jet size vase and this is the first one i have seen in a long time.
They are so cool looking. Ebay number 140229515414

I have a few if anybody wants one!

$650 for a Rocket is a little over the top, to put it mildly. I got one in Living Jewel glitter for $80 last year.

Not a common lamp, but certainly not all that rare, in my opinion......

I agree! especially when fmonty1966 only paid £75 for it if you look in his feedback!

Jealous of what? Looks pretty similar to me-chrome rocket with clear/blue bottle. Or maybe another one of his refills!??? To be honest, I have not had great experiences with fmonty1966. I won a flock lamp off him yesterday for a very good price of £78 (or so I thought). It was advertised as "near mint" in original box and with crystal clear as new bottle. Too good to be true-YES! He failed to mention that it had been patched up with flock bits where it was bald at the bottom, the lamp number didn't match the box number, and he then decided the bottle had gone cloudy since taking the listing pictures for ebay and therefore wasn't going to sell me his lamp. Maybe he just wanted more money, as in Grant's own words: "these fetch a lot-the yanks love them". Nice way to trade. Hope you all have better luck and that poor guy seaofsharks gets what he paid for.
Are there any honest people left on ebay any more????? Seems like most of the guys that are selling this mathmos / crestworth stuff are ONLY in it for the money, no matter what the cost to everybody else.

i'm not trying to discredit anyone without reason here punknurse. i have had a lot of email exchanges with Grant regarding each others lamps etc, and always thought him to be one of the honourable ones, but after this little episode my thoughts have been swayed. I suppose everyone will have good and bad experiences with buying and selling on ebay, but lately there seem to be so many people who are just out to rip others off, and i seem to have been on the receiving end a bit too much for my liking. Like I said I have absolutely no objection to buying a refill as long as I know it to be a refill.

there would have been no grief had you been honest from the start. i really do not see how or why i am at fault here-i sent you an email asking about the bottle, to which i got a reply. next thing, i won the lamp and paid via paypal. next thing i get an email saying, actually the bottle is cloudy so i asked for more pics which i got. next thing i get an email saying you had arranged a refund. Who's at fault here me for winning and paying for a lamp, or you for grossly misrepresenting an item, then refusing to sell it to me after i won it fair and square?? As it turns out, you did me a favour as it would only have been sent straight back to you had it turned up in that state, so you saved me the cost of return postage. All the best....Tony

GET THERAPY-QUICK! sixth sense my jacksy!
is that your usual trick then-send out a bad lamp and blame the post??
I look forward to seeing you go down the toilet with Tom.
Firstly Mr, I am HIM not a HER! secondly, the yanks comment came from you not me, don't try to blame somebody else for your pig ignorance!
Thirdly, tell me if i am wrong, but when one buys a limited edition item A BOX IS NOT A BOX. should the numbers on both limited edition items correspond. maybe i am being really anal but i though that was the idea. To cross the number out on the flock box and re-write it in felt pen is NOT acceptable to me, sorry!
Fourthly, i don't give 2 hoots about how much you pay for a lamp and how much profit you make on a lamp. What I do care about is lying creeps like you trying to clear your name by telling a pack of lies. If you would like me to post the emails you sent me including your 2 differing stories about the mis-matched numbers etc for all to see like I did with Tom's then I shall do so. A lamp doesn't suddenly become cloudy between taking pictures, being put back in the WRONG box, and then removed again. if you are so honest, why no mention of the differing numbers, patched up flock, and cloudy bottle in the advert, instead of describing it in as new and near mint condition. admit that you are nothing but a lying, cheating fraudster. as a supposed collector you should be ashamed! i can sleep at night knowing that the items i sell are genuine non-doctored lamps. So, no I am not gutted that my lamp sold for £92 and yours sold for a lot more. i play ebay as a way of collecting and selling unwanted items to people that want them not a way of unscrupulously and blatantly ripping people off!

You just can't stop yourself can you!
that is now your fourth "last post" on the subject-I think you have tried to justify your actions enough now, I'm off to watch paint dry, far more fun!
All the best.....Tony
somebody give this child a muzzle! or the number of a good therapist!
The bidding on E bay has gone wild . Seaofsharks got this $660.00 Rocket i bid on it but after 147.00
pounds i stopped .
