thanks for all the great comments..

my goal is to instill some spark of interest into the younger generation and keep lava alive...

as most of the kids whom come to my house swear they too will have lamps one day.. on birthdays i now get em mini glitter lamps of their own..nothing great i know but they love them..and its a start..

Great Photo, reminds me of the first time I ever saw lava lamps in a deparment store window display when I was a kid...wonderfull.

yes.. this set up is almost exact to one of our living room displays.   we just move the shelves and the lamps from their little corner in the house to a corner of the garden( swamp cemetery) outside..   only one tot was hell bent on trying to touch the lamps..

They actually took a while to get flowing because of the cold..and the set up is just thick pc of glass and cinder blocks.  Our Alter of Ooze has gone up for last three Halloweens now..
