Tractor Crestworth

I have a mint condition Tractor My First question is my bulb is dead where can i find a
new bulb to match what i have as in size and what size is this bulb Can i find it on line i
am in the States. Also the cord is white i have seen a few in black . Also this white cord is
85 mm long is this the normal lenght of the cord on this model it seems a litttle short.
So for Johnuk1 and Astrobaby is there a bulb i can buy on line if not do you know how i
can get a bulb or two. It seems it was shipped to me and the bulb came loose from the
socket and broke. Other then that it is so cool.

Well the traction engines don't need to run on the heat of the item like a lava or a glitter so they can have anything that is bright enough for your taste and fits in the smallish enclosure. Also they need to be bayonet fitting not screw, most crestworths use the bayonett fitting, you can also try coloured bulbs too - they add some really cool effects too, beware you get the heat resistant coloured types.

Since i am in the States where can i go online to the UK to get the bulb i need
and what type bayonet does the tractor take. Thanks Here we are 120v UK is 240v
I need a 15w 240v pygmy. Those are the only numbers on the bulb.

Hey Bohdan - hope you are well,

Oh sure pygmys are easy to find:

https://www.bltdirect.com/products.php?cat=863

they even do coloured ones too - so you can make your lantern even more red or add a blue for a strange purple effect.

for clear - there are these:

https://www.bltdirect.com/product.php?pid=946&cat=

they are sold in most hardware shops around here too, becareful if you go for the coloured versions that they are heat resistant some bulbs which are coloured when run without ventilation, the coloured coating starts to burn, but on a low wattage, they should be okay. John has a few traction lamps, i wonder what he uses in them ...

peace, -'baby.

Thank you so much for the place to get them from. Will now also look for
other bulbs for other UK lamps. This is great site for bulbs so cool.

Hey Bohdan i actually don't know where you can get a lightbulb but I have a question for YOU. I have seen this crestworth tractor before never really knew what it was or what it does. Can you please give some info on what it is and what it does. Thanks, Ant

Hey Ant,

These lamps look like lanterns, normally red in glow or colour and feature a model of an engine inside, some contain plastic insides and some contain metal insides. They typically feature a model of a traction engine moving. For more info and photos please see this page: http://www.imovatedesign.co.uk/astro/60s.html

peace,

ant.
