Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi,

my Crestworth Telstar Living Jewel came with a long and thin E14 15W bulb.

my Mathmos Jet Living Jewel came with the classical flat top E14 30W bulb (found in later Jet and Telstar).

I read somewhere the correct bulb should be 25W and it was not advised to use higher or lower wattage.

I can understand why for the higher wattage (liquid is sensitive to too much heat), but what is the problem with lower wattage? (my Telstar run pretty well with the 15W bulb).

At last, what is the correct shape of the stock bulb? Golf one?

Thanks!

15watt will work fine in living jewel, just may take longer for the glitter square to come down from the top of the fluid

OK,

I finaly saw a picture of the user manual, and...

surprise: it says the original bulb is 40w!!!

first time ive seen the instructions stating 40watt, ive seen the instructions with 25watt , personaly stick with 25watt and under

Yes,

maybe they started with 40w bulb then realised it was too hot then went to 25w...

Do you have a copy of the manual with the 25w bulb?

Is it the same except the power of the bulb?
