I found this base really cheap and hated the white with gold squiggles so I stripped the paint off and shot it with some semi-gloss black spray paint. That's a goo-kit white UV blue, think about turning it blue.

This is amazing! I am going to have to add this to one of my future projects.. I seem to find an abundance of these things but it never occurred to me to paint the base! I'm not a fan of the flowers in them either so the stone idea is perfect!
;-))
Thanks! :)
I love the idea of UV reactive stones, that would look wicked!! You did a great job here, Doc! I'm coveting this one! :-)
Thanks guys and gals! :) this was the first time I actually used paint stripper for a base and I have to say it looks so much better after its painted. Usually I just wash the base and just spray paint away.
THAT LOOKS GREAT! Very cool! Now I wish I'd kept mine and painted it black!!!
Well since its UV goo, I was thinking on finding some UV reactive stones. That way under the a UV light, this thing would look insanely wicked.
LOL, I'm not fond of the flowers in them either. Great idea about colored stones of some sort, maybe even those smooth aquarium stones/glass that come in different colors. I think you flung a cravin on both me and Trev with this beauty! ;-)
I have to figure out what I'm going to put in the holder part too! Decisions... Decisions... lol maybe some marble stones or something. Definitely not flowers lol
