Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I found the globe at goodwill, for $2! I had to get it, cause purple and blue is one of my favorite lava lamp combinations. The wax looked a little shot, and the globe a little dirty, but after heating up and flowing, it's decent! Doesn't get too hot, has decent stretchy flow, and the colors are nice! And it's not cloudy.

Of the many 20 oz Lavas I have found to be guinea pigs I have had ONE that ran perfect from the start (two if I add the northern light colored glitter I found). It does get a bit warm after a long time but it's white wax/pink fluid makes the wax a happy peachy orange and I didn't have the heart to part it out so I painted the base and cap orange. Love yours!

Nice score! Colors and contrast have an 80's Hobie Boogie feel to them, love it!

I managed to snag a $5 purple/blue Silverstreak missing the top cap at Goodwill. Was reaal cloudy and the glass is kind of bubbly, has since cleared up, flows awesome and it has also was crowned with a cap! One of two thrift scores I have ever managed, the other being an older NIB blue China glitter at the same shop, I actually paid MORE for the damn glitter!

I lied, this is the second great 20oz lamp I have found. The other is my brand new 20oz "midnight purple" Clearview. The flow is amazing on it for a 20oz, and it is actually a very very dark blue, not purple. I like it a lot too. I should get a pic up sometime.
