The actually have one in their shop window just right of the door. It makes the window really nice!

Hey Mathmos if you are reading this - how about a nice Christmas shop window please with white clear/white Mathmos astros and snow all around with some babushkas too - and why not anodise the bases and cap white and put a 45 number cut out on the base and you will have an order from me!

yes its true and for sale, astrobaby is right it was last year we see them at the trade show at the NEC in september so i came home and ordered one, they are very smart as they have a polished alloy base and cap unlike the earlier silver sprayed look these do look real smart and thats how all astros come now but yes you can order it in clear/white plus you can just buy the replacement bottles in clear/white.

lamp does look very smart and for £50 inc postage (uk) its worth buying or just buy the white/clear bottle for £23 and they flow just ace as mathmos should.

I got mine a few months ago . They should do an Astrobaby and a Telstar in it since they have the White wax now and they would
sell a lot of them.

Remember, it was the Astro which started this whole train of thought on kinetic beautiful lighting. In a lot of ways Crestworth with their lava & glitter and fibre optic products were a powerhouse of well designed kinetic design objects in the 1960s and 70s. I wonder if 45 years ago they could ever thought they would have changed the world with their product. There are very few products that go onto have such an enduring legacy and become icons of their time. I think that as long it is offered in finishes and designs that are suitable to the people in another 50 years it will still be around.
